Car hire: Parking in Girona
Some people opt to hire a car from Barcelona Airport. This can often be a cost effective way to get to Girona. Worth baring in mind is that parking in Girona is notoriously difficult, especially if you are staying in the Old Town. You can take advantage of the free car parks near Park Devesa, but these do get busy during peak times. You can park in underground car parks too, but for a price. Most hotels provide parking for a reduced rate, but you may have to book in advance.
