Summary

Welcome to the coffee-scented mountains of the Western Colombian Andes. Filled with brightly colored towns and enchanting landscapes, Colombia’s main coffee-growing region is like something out of a fairytale, and perfect to discover by bike.

Our journey begins taking in some of the climbs in the most popular riding region to the east of the city. Visit local villages and get a taste of what it feels like to climb when you start at 2,000 m! For part two of the week we travel to the Suroeste, the heartland of rural Antioquia. Stay in the private village of Cauca Viejo and visit a coffee plantation before riding north up the river to the colonial town of Santa Fe de Antioquia where our final ride awaits!

Our journey ends in Medellín, the city of eternal spring and the birthplace of colourful Colombian artist Fernando Botero. Today, pro cycling teams from across the world come to train on the incredible roads that wind up out of the city and into the mountains. Local riders include Rigoberto Uran and Fernando Gaviria.

Enjoy warm hospitality and delicious fresh food and soak up coffee culture at its source.
