Welcome to Chile!

Enjoy a warm welcome from your guides at our first hotel in Huilo-Huilo natural reserve. Get to know everyone over a welcome lunch & in the afternoon get the bikes set up & enjoy a short warm-up ride.

Day 1

Huilo Huilo to Los Lagos

Your journey begins in the heart of Huilo Huilo Natural Reserve, surrounded by lush rainforest and stunning waterfalls. Pedal along smooth, winding roads as you leave the reserve, with breathtaking views of the Mocho-Choshuenco Volcano in the distance. The route takes you through rolling hills, dense forests, and quiet countryside, passing small villages and crystal-clear rivers. A mix of gentle climbs and fast descents leads you to Los Lagos, a charming town where our ride finishes. A short transfer takes us to our resting place for the night at Bahia Coique.

Bahia Coique to Futangue

Today we hug the shores of Lago Rancho. As you approach Futangue and ride further south, the landscape becomes wilder, with lush vegetation and mountain backdrops. End the day near the entrance to Futangue Park, a gateway to Patagonia’s untamed beauty.

Queen Stage - Climb to the Summit of the Osorno Volcano

Today, embark on an exciting loop from Petrohue Lodge, including a challenging climb to the summit of Osorno Volcano. Ride through lush forests and stunning alpine scenery, with panoramic views of Lago Todos los Santos and the surrounding mountains. After reaching the volcano's base, enjoy a thrilling descent back to the lodge, where you can unwind and savor the day's adventure.

We work with an industry leading guide to guest ratio – expect up to 4 guests per guide on the trip with guides leading the way on the road and a support vehicle close by at all times. Note that for groups of 4 riders or less this tour is run as a guided trip without the support vehicle.

The ride support vehicle is stocked with natural ride nutrition, electrolytes and water, as well as a full set of tools to resolve any mechanicals. On selected days the support crew will serve a delicious picnic lunch in a scenic location en route. Enjoy local foods chosen to keep you feeling energized and healthy.

Julian

Julian is from San Martín de Los Andes where he lives with his partner and started his career as a moutnain guide leading ascents to Lanín Volcano & Chalten. He leads our local team in Patagonia and loves the moutains, to explore new places and to be in nature. Julian likes to ride gravel and mountain bikes all over Argentina.

Facundo

Facundo lives in his family farm with his wife & two daughters in his hometown of San Martín de los Andes. A multi-adventure guide specializing in mountain bike he loves the mountains, is a gym instructor and runs a coaching school. As well a guiding cycling trips, he also runs kayaking trips and is a competitive trail runner.

Ariel

Ariel is a triathlete from Argentina and has always loved to ride. After pursuing a sensible career in sales in Barcelona Ariel joined our Cycling Tours team to focus his life & career on... cycling!

What happens if I need to cancel the trip?

We have a flexible cancelation policy – please take a look at our cancellation policy at the time of booking. If you have any doubts please reach out and we’re happy to help.

Is the tour the right level for me?

We rate our tours from Level 1 (Leisure) to Level 4 (Epic). Each tour contains a description of the level, expected daily ride time, distance and elevation. If you have any doubts we’re more that happy to speak to you on the phone and help to find you the perfect trip!

What about bikes? Can I hire one or should I bring my own?

We recommend that you hire a bike for your tour and will work with you after you book to help you to choose the best size and model for your ride style. If you prefer to bring your bike, it’s no problem. Please be aware that on some of our epic trips we charge a supplement to transport your bike box to our finishing location. If you have any doubts, please ask!

Is insurance included?

Insurance is not included in our tour packages. We highly recommend contracting travel insurance at the time of reservation with a company from where you are from.

Health insurance which covers you for illness or injury whilst cycling in your chosen destination is mandatory, we’ll ask you for details of your insurance providor before you travel.
