wonderful place to bike, which is why the Eroica Vintage Bike Race & Strade Bianche World Tour race sprint through here every year. This is a tour for lovers of cycling, great hospitality, fabulous wine & fabulous food. Let the good times roll!
CYCLING ITINERARY
Day 1:
Meet at Florence Airport for a 1 hour group transfer to Radda in Chianti
Relax at our stunning hotel or join the first ride, the Greve & Volpaia loop, 46 km, 1,160 m
Cycle through the vineyards of Chianti to the ancient fortified village (& home to a cellar of world renowned wines) of Volpaia.
Evening with the group in Radda in Chianti.
Day 2:
Point to point ride to Castelnuovo Berardenga, 34 km, 460 m
Option to extend the ride to 74 km, 1,600 m
Journey south to Castelnuovo Berardenga, enjoy a delicious picnic lunch along the way.

Day 3:
Point to point ride to the spa village of Bagno Vignoni
62 km, 1271 m
Enjoy a taste of the iconic strade bianche & discover the Crete Senesi region. Enjoy lunch along the way in San Quirico. Evening meal with the group in Bagno Vignoni.
Day 4:
Loop ride to Pienza, 57 km, 120 m
Ride to Pienza, a UNESCO site known for its Pecorino cheese. There is an option to extend the ride to Montalcino, known for it’s fabulous wine.
Celebrate the end of the tour with a spectacular evening meal.
Day 5:
Departures – guests can choose to shuttle to Siena (1 hour journey time) or Florence (2 hour journey time)
IS THIS TOUR FOR ME?
This is a tour designed for anyone who loves to ride! The route is fully supported & e-bikes are available for those preferring a boost up the climbs. The tour is designed for ‘all road’ bikes – routes are mostly paved but there are some sections on the white gravel roads of Tuscany on day 3.

Vehicle Support
Our Italian Tour Leader Mario will take care of every detail of your trip. He’ll give a daily breifing to the group & ensure everyone is comfortable using their navigation device. The support vehicle carries a range of snacks, drinks & ride nutrition to keep you fuelled throughout the day, as well as carrying spares for any mechanicals. The vehicle will be a regular points along each daily route. Our guides know the region well & speak the local language.

Mario
Mario is our native Italian guide, he hails from a little town called Conegliano, 40 km from Venice. A lover of the mountains, when he’s not guiding you’ll find him cross-country skiing.
Mario is a regular visitor to Tuscany, he loves to ride the gravel roads & has guided many trips in the region.
Ilaria
Ilaria is our fabulous trip designer who has been leading & designing cycling tours for over 10 years across Italy. In her own worlds she is a lover of fine wine, great food and everything that is first class quality! She’s also a cyclist & has worked for many years in the Italian hospitality industry. She has deep knowledge of this wonderful region & her goal is to make people’s vacation dreams come true!
FOOD & ACCOMMODATION
Tuscan Cuisine
This is a full board trip. Start the day with a delicious breakfast at our hotel. Ride nutrition, including fresh fruit, snacks & local treats are available throughout the tour from our support vehicle. Lunch is enjoyed en route at our favourite local trattoria’s or prepared by your guiding team & served al fresco in a scenic spot. Evening meals are memorable Tuscan extravaganzas, curated to give you a varied expereince of the region.
Evening meals are served with half a bottle of wine per rider (& unlimited water!). Any additonal drinks are at the riders expense. Impromptu coffee stops are also at the riders expense.

The perfect balance between prevailing silence and peacefulness. At the Relai Il Vignale you can truly relax in the spa, pool or lay down in the large flower-filled garden, featuring a panoramic terrace overlooking the Chianti Hills. Villa Curina Resort stands in a small 16th century village, rich in history and charm. Enjoy its delicious, local products and embrace the terrace overlooking the Chianti hills, with Siena in the background.
Albergo Le Terme * * *, Bagno Vignoni
Le Terme Spa & Resort is in a 15th century building designed by Rossellino and used as a summer residence by Pope Pius II Piccolomini. Located in the beating heart of the village of Bagno Vignoni, the hotel is reflected in the famous Piazza delle fonti, a large thermal bath from the Etruscan era from which water flows at 49 degrees. Time to relax!
