Our mountain mystery tour is our classic micro-adventure. We ride from Girona high into the mountains to enjoy a night of tranquility in a luxury guesthouse in the little village of La Pobla de Lillet. We indulge in a home cooked feast, enjoy the spa facilities & while away the evening with a bottle or two of local wine. The next day we enjoy some hard-earned descending, enjoy the best chocolate croissant in Catalunya and make it back to Girona in time for an evening beer. Micro-bliss.
Over the two days we ride 256 km and climb 4,500 m.

“This is my second trip out to Eat Sleep Cycle in Girona and this time I tried a consecutive day cycle. Brian was able to set me up on one of their Orcas, which rode like a dream even with my not so fit legs and was always on hand to make some tweaks to the bike if need be. We had a lovely group of 5 well-capable cyclists and the guide rider Lee, who briefed us on the trip on the first morning and took the customary cheery photos before the ascents. Riding out through town you realise how good the roads are and how little traffic there is on the roads, and the car users that are on the road are very respectful of cyclists. The bike is king in this part of the world! Day 1 was tough with about 2400 meters of climbing covering over 100ks and Day 2 was easier with some rapid descents around sweeping corners on decent roads. While Lee paced us to perfection, Brian was providing support in his vehicle if we needed to layer up or de-layer at any point and also if we had an accident he was there on hand to provide first aid. We stopped a couple of times for food, Brian and Lee made these mini rolls with spiced local sausage smothered in cream cheese which were delicious and for energy, there was no shortage of nuts and fruit. The accommodation we stayed at was a mountain refuge, a lovely little old style building with a warm and welcoming family to cater for us. We had our own comfortable bed, toilets, hot showers, kitchen and dining room. A great little hideaway. Brian and Lee have great local knowledge, highly professional, humorous and down to earth – I couldn’t praise them enough!” John, Ireland
