ESC organized an incredible trip of riding the epic climbs outside Girona, including a gravel day to a beautiful fishing village on the coast. This was our 4th trip with ESC, having completed the Trans Pyrenees, French Alps, and Dolomites previously. Everything about this trip was epic. ESC found an amazing villa a short walk to town and got us a chef to prepare daily breakfasts. The routes were perfect, and our guide, Josep, was a pleasure to be with. Riding both road and gravel gave us a chance to check out a few different bikes from their huge rental fleet I look forward to our next trip! Dan

Rocacorba

ROCACORBA

A famous & challenging climb with spectacular views of the region from the summit. The road climb stretches 13 km and has steep ramps of up to 18%.

ELS ÀNGELS

The climb to Els Àngels starts just a few kms from the city centre in the Gavarres hills. There are both road & off-road routes up to the Sanctuary where artist Salvador Dalí married his muse Gala in 1958.

Mare de Deu del Mont

MARE DE DEU DEL MONT

The 'Gateway to the Pyrenees', this is one of the very best climbs in the region. Climb 17 kms to enjoy 360 degree views - of the Pyrenees, Empordà & the Costa Brava.

Banyoles lake

BANYOLES LAKE

Coffee at Banyoles Lake promises views of Mare de Deu del Mont and the Pyrenees. The lake was host to the 1992 olympic rowing competition.

What happens if I need to cancel the trip?

We have a flexible cancelation policy – please take a look at our cancellation policy at the time of booking. If you have any doubts please reach out and we’re happy to help.

Is the tour the right level for me?

We rate our tours from Level 1 (Leisure) to Level 4 (Epic). Each tour contains a description of the level, expected daily ride time, distance and elevation. If you have any doubts we’re more that happy to speak to you on the phone and help to find you the perfect trip!

What about bikes? Can I hire one or should I bring my own?

We recommend that you hire a bike for your tour and will work with you after you book to help you to choose the best size and model for your ride style. If you prefer to bring your bike, it’s no problem. Please be aware that on some of our epic trips we charge a supplement to transport your bike box to our finishing location. If you have any doubts, please ask!

Is insurance included?

Insurance is not included in our tour packages. We highly recommend contracting travel insurance at the time of reservation with a company from where you are from.

Health insurance which covers you for illness or injury whilst cycling in your chosen destination is mandatory, we’ll ask you for details of your insurance providor before you travel.
