Why a Crowdfunding Campaign?
Eat Sleep Cycle is a grass roots cycling business. We started in a tiny shop which we closed to go out cycling with our customers. Today we are a global cycling brand and open 7 days a week, but we are still here because of our wonderful loyal guests. You created us, so what better way for you to also own a part of us.
What is an equity investment?
By investing in a business, you become an investor in the company: you are a share owner and have equity in that company. This investment is in exchange for ordinary shares, which gives you voting and pre-emptive rights over those shares.
Who is Crowdcube?
Crowdcube is an equity crowdfunding platform where you can invest money in exchange for shares in the share capital of a company in a secure way; and where entrepreneurs can obtain direct funding from people like you.
Can I invest if I’ve never invested before?
Yes you can. When the time comes just follow the steps on the Crowdcube website. They’ll ask you a few questions to make sure you’re not a bot or a minor and make sure you understand the risks involved when investing your money.
How can I invest?
First of all, express your interest by clicking “Find Out More” on this page. You will then receive priority updates about the crowdfunding. At this point you are not committing to anything. The raise itself will open on the Crowdfunding platform on October 8th, the exact date will be shared with those who fill in the contact form.
How much can I put in?
You can put in as little as €10 and as much as €200k. If you are interested in investing more than €200k please contact us.
When will my money be converted into shares?
Your money will be converted into shares as soon as the financing round is closed. Once you process it through crowdcube you will receive an email where you can download your ownership statement.
When does the campaign start?
It has already started, that’s why you are here. You can express your interest right away, and on 8th October the campaign will go live until it is sold out. We are expecting high demand so please be ready to not miss out
Is it mandatory to preregister?
We recommend that you register as soon as possible to make the process quicker. The round will open on 8th October and you will be able to invest on a first-come, first-served basis.
What stage is the brand in?
Eat Sleep Cycle is in a stage of hyper growth. With a proven Cycling Hub business model, fully scalable tours business and highly successful apparel brand you will be joining the business ahead of sharp growth.
How do I get a return on my investment, and can I sell later?
If the company is a success and is eventually bought by another company or goes public at a higher value than when you first invested, you will get a return on your investment. You cannot get your money back unless the company sells or an equity distribution is made. There is also a risk that you will lose your investment or the amount you get back is less.
What risk do I take?
There are two main risks to consider when investing in equity:
The business may fail or not grow sufficiently to provide a return to investors. If this happens, you will not get back the money invested.
Even if the business succeeds, your investment is likely to be illiquid until the company sells.
