
With ideal riding conditions 365 days a year, majestic landscapes, challenging climbs, amazing food, and an endless network of gravel roads the Canary Islands are moving up the bucket-list for gravel lovers around the world.
Our 7 night tour splits the riding between Gran Canaria & Tenerife. Start the ride in the south of the island and then climb to the center. For the finale of the trip we’ll take a ferry to Tenerife to conclude this amazing tour of the Canary Islands.
Rides are designed for advanced gravel riders, a good fitness is required as well as strong bike skills to best enjoy the tour. Our local guides are experts at ensuring everyone is having a great time and enjoying the experience.
Rated 3 out of 4 our Advanced tours are designed for people who ride regularly and want back to back challenging days on the bike. Riders should be confident riding in a small group, comfortable on extended climbs (at your own pace) and have good bike handling skills on corners and descents. E-bikes are available on all of our tours.
Meet the team & your new ride companions for the week at our first hotel. Plan to arrive by 12pm. An airport shuttle is included from Las Palmas Airport, Gran Canaria. After a tour briefing, bike fitting, and light lunch, we’ll set out on our first ride—heading inland on smooth roads and gravel tracks through arid hills and rocky terrain. A steady climb leads to a scenic high point before a flowing descent through palm-filled valleys and cliffs, returning to the coast for a relaxing finish by the sea.
Today we leave Maspalomas and climb from the coast into rugged volcanic hills. A gravel ascent leads past sparse pines and sweeping views toward the turquoise Presa de Chira reservoir. Continue through mixed gravel and quiet roads to Cercados de Araña, then climb into the pine forests around Ayacata, with views of Roque Nublo on the horizon.
Today’s route departs from Parador Cruz de Tejeda and descend into pine-covered plateaus, then roll on gravel paths to Artenara, the island’s highest village. Continue through the Parque Rural del Nublo with paved and gravel climbs offering iconic views of Roque Nublo. Pass forested roads and rural landscapes toward Mirador Tejeda, then tackle a steady climb to Presa de Las Niñas and Ayacata, finishing at Mirador de La Goleta before returning to the Parador for a rewarding highland loop.
The route begins with a descent through pine forests and volcanic ridges, offering panoramic views of the island’s caldera. From there, climb into the rugged Parque Rural del Nublo on a mix of gravel and paved paths, with close-up views of Roque Nublo and the surrounding highlands. The ride continues through Artenara, the island’s highest village, passing its unique cave houses and terraced landscapes, before heading to Cuevas de Caballero. and back to the hotel.
Today we ride to Tenerife! Departing from Cruz de Tejeda, begin with a steady descent to Artenara, the island’s highest village. Follow winding roads through La Hoyas and Fagajesto, taking in quiet rural lanes and sweeping valley views. Pass Tegueste and El Agazal, with a mix of rolling climbs and fast descents, before descending to the coastal town of Agaete, where we board the ferry to Tenerife.
First ride in Tenerife! After a short transfer, we start on the El Centeno gravel track, passing scenic viewpoints across Teide National Park. Ride through dramatic volcanic landscapes, rugged cliffs, and high-altitude paths, enjoying the unique terrain and colors of the park. The route finishes at the Parador de las Cañadas del Teide, a perfect spot to take in views of Spain’s highest peak.
Last day! We begin with a transfer to Santiago del Teide, the starting point for our final ride. From here, we embark on a scenic loop through the Teno Rural Park, one of Tenerife’s most dramatic and unspoiled landscapes. After the ride, we’ll enjoy a farewell dinner to celebrate the week!

Enjoy small group sizes and professional, personal support all week from your guides & support vehicle.
We work with an industry leading guide to guest ratio – expect up to 4 guests per guide on the trip with guides leading the way on the road and a support vehicle close by at designated feed zones. (Note that for groups of 4 riders or less this tour is run as a guided trip without the support vehicle).
The ride support vehicle is stocked with natural ride nutrition, electrolytes and water, as well as a full set of tools to resolve any mechanicals.
Eat Sleep Cycle guides are experienced riders from all walks of life united by a love of cycling who’ll help to keep the group safe, motivated and savouring the trip of a lifetime.
All guests will receive access to our digital Road Book and routes, giving everyone the flexibility to ride at their own pace.
