What rider level is best for a Morocco cycling holiday?
You don’t need to be a pro, but you should have regular cycling experience and some comfort with sustained riding and climbs. We rate our tours from Level 1 (Leisure) to Level 4 (Epic). Each tour contains a description of the level, expected daily ride time, distance and elevation. If you have any doubts, we're more than happy to speak to you on the phone and help to find you the perfect trip!

When is the best time to cycle in Morocco?
The most comfortable riding conditions are found in spring and autumn, with winter also offering excellent temperatures in many regions. Summer can be extremely hot, particularly in inland and desert areas.

How challenging are the Atlas Mountain climbs?
The High Atlas features long, steady ascents such as Tizi n’Test. Climbs are demanding but paced within the itinerary, with support available throughout.

Can I hire a bike in Morocco or bring my own?
You have both options. A fleet of high-quality rental bikes (road, gravel, e-bikes) is available, but if you prefer to bring your own, that’s possible too. It’s best to check at the time of booking to confirm arrangements.

Which parts of Morocco will I ride through?
Routes head out from Marrakech into the High Atlas Mountains, tackling quiet passes like Tizi n’Test before descending through remote valleys and desert landscapes. Some itineraries continue all the way to the Atlantic coast, finishing in Essaouira.

Yes. The routes are chosen to avoid heavy traffic and focus on quieter roads. You’ll ride with experienced guides, and there’s support on hand throughout the day.
