Off Grid | In Motion – Mountain Retreat

Summary

Get ready for an unforgettable adventure in the mountains of Catalonia.

Off.Grid // In.Motion begins and ends in Girona, with five immersive days based at a beautifully restored rural retreat tucked into the hills of La Garrotxa.

Think of this as a playground for grown-ups to ride together, eat well, and share the good stuff in life.

Each day, you can choose the ride that matches your energy: a long, rewarding route for those craving challenge, or a shorter, laid-back option perfect for savoring the scenery. No matter which option you choose, every ride lets you experience the beauty, culture, and quiet roads that make this region a cycling paradise.

Beyond the bike, every day features a hand-picked experience to elevate your stay, including: relaxation workshops, wine tastings, visits to charming mountain villages, and more. And on the final evening, the adventure concludes with a vibrant DJ-led closing celebration—the perfect way to toast the week with great music, great company, and unforgettable memories.

This tour is crafted for those who want more than just cycling: it’s a blend of nature, culture, comfort, and celebration in one of Spain’s most inspiring regions. This is a retreat that feels like a family get together.

Friends and partners are warmly welcomed with a parallel programme focused on slow travel, culture and wellbeing. Think volcano hikes with views, foraging and crafting, cooking experiences rooted in local tradition, village wandering, swimming, and unhurried time at the property.

Itinerary

Day 1
Welcome to the mountains!

Meet in Girona and roll out together, leaving the city behind almost immediately. The route opens into the Vall de Llémena — a wide, sunlit valley of quiet roads, gentle climbs, and long views toward the Pyrenees. It’s the ideal first ride: social, scenic, and confidence-building, setting the tone for the days ahead.

We’ll take care of moving your luggage from Girona to your accommodation. Enjoy a welcome dinner at the hotel.

For non-rider Friends joining the trip: Arrive in Girona and transfer out to our retreat, Off.Grid tucked into the mountains. Settle in, unpack slowly, explore the grounds, or simply breathe it all in.

Day 2
Mare de Deu del Mont

Everyone is invited for sunrise Yoga class in the Garden room at Off.Grid.

Following a fantastic breakfast, the Riders will take on one of the area’s most famous climbs: Mare de Déu del Mont. The climb rises above the hotel, and as you pedal, the views just keep opening up—rolling hills, valleys, and the countryside stretching out in every direction. It’s a ride that feels big, rewarding, and totally worth it.

Friends will enjoy a guided volcano hike through the dramatic landscapes of La Garrotxa.

After all that effort, the afternoon is all about taking it easy- perhaps enjoying a massage. At Off.Grid, Tom Middleton will introduces a practical, human approach to better sleep and recovery — how sound, rhythm, and environment help the body let go, settle, and genuinely rest.

Dinner is cooked at the retreat by a renowned local chef, exclusively for the group. The meal is rooted in Catalan tradition, paired with a guided wine masterclass exploring expressive, low-intervention, orange, and natural wines
