We’re expanding our women’s program with a ride camp in sunny Málaga, Spain! Discover some of the most beautiful corners of Málaga guided by our expert all-women Eat Sleep Cycle guide team. Enjoy local specialities such as espeto de sardinas, and soak up a taste of traditional Spanish culture. The region’s mild climate offers near-perfect riding conditions in winter, spring and autumn, so make sure to pack sun cream!

The camp brings together women from all stages of their cycling development, from intermediate riders through to seasoned racers; there’s nothing like the fun, supportive nature of all all-female group to make you feel on top of the world! Due to the nature of the terrain we recommend riders arrive at the camp with good fitness and able to ride long climbs (at your own pace of course!)

Day 1
Welcome to Málaga!

Meet the Eat Sleep Cycle team at our hotel to set up the bikes & head out on a 45-km warm-up ride climbing el Puerto del Leon. Wind down in the evening with a wonderful wine and tapas tour of the city centre.

Day 2
Ride el Chorro

Fuel up with a hearty breakfast at the hotel before getting a transfer to Álora to ride to El Chorro and see the Caminito del Rey, a walkway pinned against the steep walls of the narrow El Chorro gorge. Enjoy a relaxing evening meal in one of Malaga’s best restaurants.

Day 3
Malaga's white villages

The ride on day 4 features the best of everything Malaga has to offer, sparkling coastal routes and winding mountain roads beside mango and avocado farms. The views over the Montes de Malaga and out towards the coast at the summit will not disappoint!

Day 4
El Torcal de Antequera

Day 5 begins with another short transfer to just outside the city, where the ride to El Torcal de Antequera begins. This stunning natural park is home to milennia-old rock formations that used to form the seabed. There’s another day of climbing on the cards today but El Torcal is worth every second.

Day 5
El Puerto del Sol

The final ride really is one Malaga’s classic climbs, El Puerto del Sol, which often features in the the Vuelta a Andalucía. Starting in Alfarnate, the ride snakes south over the undulating Andalucian landscape back towards the city and coast.

Departures from Malaga

On the sixth and final day of the tour, the time has come to say farewell. Enjoy a final breakfast at the hotel and a stroll around the city centre (if there is time!) before starting the journey home. And remember, the sun-kissed roads of Malaga are always just a plane-ride away!

The ride support vehicle is stocked with natural ride nutrition, electrolytes and water, as well as a full set of tools to resolve any mechanicals. On selected days the support crew will serve a delicious picnic lunch in a scenic location en route. Enjoy local foods chosen to keep you feeling energized and healthy.

A comfortable e-road bike with a lightweight carbon frameset and a clean-cut design featuring fully integrated cable routing. The Garda Hybrid uses the proven and reliable Mahle X35+ drive unit with 250 Wh motor inserted in the rear hub while the battery is housed in the down tube. The groupset is Shimano 105 Di2. The Garda has an autonomy of 1,000-2,000m of elevation, or constant use 1.5-2hrs – it’s possible to rent a range extender to double the range for an additional fee.

Laura is a guide, professional cycling coach and endurance cyclist who has completed some of the coolest ultradistance gravel events (which she absolutely loved!). Laura loves guiding as she really enjoys empowering people to ride their bikes and discover new places, help their cycling adventures come true, and share unforgettable moments together.

Louise

Louise is a founding partner and leads the development of our cycling tours & experiences. After graduating from Kings College London with an MA in Theatre & Performance, Louise worked in the sustainability department at the London School of Economics before landing her dream job at Global Action Plan, a charity focused on environmental behaviour change. A love of cycling led to a life change and move to Girona, where Eat Sleep Cycle was born!

What happens if I need to cancel the trip?
We have a flexible cancelation policy - please take a look at our cancellation policyat the time of booking. If you have any doubts please reach out and we're happy to help.

Is the tour the right level for me?
We rate our tours from Level 1 (Leisure) to Level 4 (Epic). Each tour contains a description of the level, expected daily ride time, distance and elevation. If you have any doubts we're more that happy to speak to you on the phone and help to find you the perfect trip!

What about bikes? Can I hire one or should I bring my own?
We recommend that you hire a bike for your tour and will work with you after you book to help you to choose the best size and model for your ride style. If you prefer to bring your bike, it's no problem. Please be aware that on some of our epic trips we charge a supplement to transport your bike box to our finishing location. If you have any doubts, please ask!

Is insurance included?
Insurance is not included in our tour packages. We highly recommend contracting travel insurance at the time of reservation with a company from where you are from.

Health insurance which covers you for illness or injury whilst cycling in your chosen destination is mandatory, we'll ask you for details of your insurance provider before you travel.
