Medellín Classic Climbs for Private Groups

Summary

This is a tour designed for road cyclists looking to experience the incredible riding around Medellín, the year-round training ground for many pro-riders and teams.

This package is available for private groups of 4 guests or more and can be enjoyed any time of the year. The week is supported by a guide from a motorbike, they’ll set up feed zones and look after you throughout the week. We’ll supply gpx. files for self-guided riding and your guide will brief you every day about the ride.

Stay in the exclusive Club Campestre Llanogrande, a peaceful retreat located outside the city borders and perfectly placed to enjoy the best road riding. Take on the classic climbs, including La Unión, Santa Elena, Concepción, Alto de las Rayas and Pantalio. Our last night is spent in Medellín centre with Alto de Las Palmas providing the grand finale of the week the following morning.

Post-ride guests are invited to focus on rest & recovery. The Club has great facilities to enjoy and we can arrange massages on request. Evening meals will be enjoyed in nearby local restaurants, offering the perfect opportunity to try Colombian food.

We recommend arriving in Medellín a few days before the trip to acclimatise – we start climbing at 2,000 m! This trip is best enjoyed by experienced cyclists who are comfortable in traffic, can hold a wheel and ride in a group. Whilst Colombian drivers are really accommodating to cyclists, there are occasional busy sections on some routes which new riders will not appreciate.
