Embark on a stunning gravel journey through the very heart of Andalusia, tracing the Caminos de Pasión from Córdoba to Sevilla. This route immerses you in the cultural soul of southern Spain — a land of Moorish architecture, olive oil traditions, and vibrant fiestas — all connected by a network of quiet rural tracks and ancient caminos.
From the historic Mezquita of Córdoba, your ride winds through the gentle hills of the Campiña Cordobesa, passing through charming towns like Lucena, Cabra, Priego de Córdoba, and Puente Genil. You’ll pedal between endless olive groves, cross Roman bridges, and climb to whitewashed villages perched on limestone ridges.
Following the Caminos de Pasión, you’ll discover Andalusia’s baroque heartlands — Osuna, Estepa, and Marchena — each with centuries of history and unique local gastronomy. As you approach Sevilla, the terrain flattens into fertile plains, leading you to the banks of the Guadalquivir River and into the lively rhythm of Spain’s flamenco capital.

Welcome to Córdoba! Meet at your first hotel in Córdoba at 12:00 (noon). Warm muscles function better than those pushed into tough efforts right away, so today’s ride has two goals: loosen your legs out for the week ahead and make sure your bike is dialled in.
Ride from Córdoba to Priego de Córdoba along the historic Camino Mozárabe de Santiago, a scenic blend of gravel tracks, rural paths, and quiet roads. Leave Córdoba’s Mezquita behind and cross rolling olive groves and whitewashed villages like Baena, each rich in Andalusian charm. The route climbs gently into the Subbética Natural Park, where mountain views guide you to Priego de Córdoba, a baroque gem surrounded by limestone hills.

Depart from Priego’s baroque streets and climb gently through the Subbética Natural Park, with panoramic views over valleys and limestone peaks. Descend toward Cabra, a historic town at the foot of the Sierras, where cobbled streets, fountains, and tapas bars offer a perfect end to this ride.
Today’s route leaves the Subbética hills behind as you roll through endless olive groves and quiet rural tracks toward Lucena, known as the “Pearl of the South.” Continue past tranquil farmland and gentle plains, passing Puente Genil and the traditional white villages that mark the region’s cultural crossroads. The route leads you to Osuna, a town of noble palaces, baroque churches, and cinematic charm.
Leaving Osuna behind, with its elegant palaces and baroque skyline, you’ll head northwest on a mix of gravel and quiet rural roads toward Écija, known as “the City of Towers.” Here, the landscape opens into the vast plains of the Campiña Sevillana, where golden fields and olive groves stretch as far as the eye can see.
From Écija, continue along peaceful tracks through Fuentes de Andalucía, a classic Andalusian town of whitewashed streets and lively plazas, then on to La Campana, surrounded by farmland and scattered cortijos that capture the rural spirit of the region. The terrain remains mostly flat, offering a rhythmic ride across Andalusia’s agricultural heartland, following the same paths that have connected these historic towns for centuries.
As you approach Carmona, the land begins to rise gently, revealing the town’s impressive silhouette atop its ancient ridge. Enter through its majestic gates to discover cobbled streets, Roman ruins, and Moorish walls.
Depart from Carmona’s ancient hilltop walls and descend into the wide plains of the Campiña Sevillana, following quiet rural tracks bordered by olive groves, vineyards, and golden fields. The route leads you southwest to Utrera, a vibrant town known for its flamenco heritage, impressive churches, and welcoming plazas. From there, continue across open farmland and gentle hills as the landscape flattens toward the Guadalquivir valley. Enter Sevilla along peaceful cycling routes that follow the the river, arriving in the historic center where the Giralda marks the grand finale of your Andalusian journey.
