The rides are designed for strong cyclists who want a challenge. For newer riders we can customise the routes to suit your level & goals for the trip.
Rated 2 out of 4 our Intermediate tours are designed for sporty people who are looking to enjoy some more challenging rides. E-bikes are available on all of our tours.
On arrival at Barcelona Airport one of the Eat Sleep Cycle team will meet you and drive you to the town of Falset to begin your trip. After lunch we’ll get set up on the bikes and head our for a warm up ride.
Today’s ride has 3 mains climbs: La Teixeta Pass, Escornalbou Castle and Roig Pass.
Once you arrive in Marçà, stop at Dosterras vineyard to enjoy some great Priorat Wines and local tapas.
After breakfast at your hotel, head out on the bike for the biggest challenge of the week. From the hotel head north towards Montsant. This is long steady climb and from the pass of Puig Pelat enjoy an epic descent down to ViIlaplana.
Today we’ll transfer to Sitges on the Garraf Coast. After checking in at your next hotel the ride heads out on the stunning coast road with amazing view of the Mediterranean. From Castelldefels you’ll head inland to Olesa de Bonesvalls and back to Stiges.
The final ride of the trip takes you inland deep into the Penedès region. Ride through medieval villages and up the climb of Les Ventoses. After crossing Vilafranca del Penedès you’ll finish the ride with a wine tasting and lunch at Finca Villadellops.
Sadly, it’s time to say goodbye! Transfers are included to your choice of Barcelona Airport or Barcelona Centre.

We’ll welcome you to the start of your tour, talk you through the week ahead and ensure you have everything you need to enjoy a great ride.
Guests receive a detailed digital Road Book, containing routes, route descriptions, details of hotels and our recommended places to stop along the way and enjoy in the evenings. Guests can choose to navigate from their own phone or GPS devices are available on request.
On a self-guided tour we take care of your luggage and move it from hotel to hotel. We also provide a contact number for support during the trip and will help you out of any situation.
We recommend that guests are able to fix a puncture and perform basic roadside bike repairs to best enjoy a self-guided tour.

The Filante SLR is an extremely lightweight aerodynamic bicycle used by World Tour team Astana. Enjoy a Shimano Ultegra Di2 groupset and DT Swiss ERC 1400 wheelset.
Our top of the range road e-bike from Wilier. Enjoy a lightweight carbon frame, carbon wheelset and Shimano Ultegra Di2 shifting. The Filante Hybrid has a range of 1,000-2,000m of elevation, or constant use 1.5-2hrs. Range extenders are avialable to hire which doubles this range.

The Garda Hybrid uses the proven and reliable Mahle X35+ drive unit with 250 Wh motor inserted in the rear hub while the battery is housed in the down tube. The groupset is Shimano 105 Di2.
