Looking for an elevation-packed Pyreneen adventure? Join an official Everesting tour as we take on 11,700 m – 16,000 m of climbing over 6 days in the high mountains of the French Pyrenees.

Test yourself on some of the toughest climbs HC climbs in cycling. Headline climbs include the Tourmalet, the Peyresourde, the Aspin, the Hautacam, Soulour, Aubisque and more. Ride out from three Pyrenean bases – the pretty town of Bagnères de Luchon, Saint Lary Soulan and Saint Savin. Climb the iconic cols of cycling and tick them off your bucket list. Each day you can choose to ‘Make it Epic’ and add an extra climb, bringing the total elevation of the trip to an eye-watering, leg sapping total of over 16,000 m (that’s twice up Everest).

Rated 4 out of 4 our Epic tours are designed for people who train 3 or 4 times a week and are looking to push themselves on back to back challenging days on the bike. Riders should be confident riding in a small group, comfortable on extended climbs (at your own pace) and have good bike handling skills on corners and descents. E-bikes are available on all of our tours.

Day 1
Welcome to the Pyreneés!

A group transfer departs from Toulouse Airport at 11:00 to the Pyrenean village of Bagnéres de Luchon. Enjoy a light lunch on arrival then it’s time get set up and ready to ride! Our warm-up is fitting for the week ahead – a spin up our first HC climb, the Superbagnères.

Day 2
Ares to Mente!

Enjoy a picturesque loop taking on the cols of Ares and Mente. Make it epic? Add an ascent of the Port de Bales for good measure. Notoriously tough, this is how to make your legs hurt tomorrow.

Day 3
All the way to the top!

Today say farewell to Bagnèrès du Luchon and ride north over the Peyresourde – a climb on the bucket list of everyone in cycling! Stop at the cafe at the top for fresh crepes and enjoy a sweeping descent. The Val Louron Azet is up next. Listen to cow bells as you climb! Our resting place is down the other side in the spa town of Sant Lary Soulan. Make today (more) epic with a long climb up to the Lac du Cap du Long.

Day 4
Homage to The Tour de France

This is one is a classic July afternoon at the Tour de France. A big challenge ahead which inlcudes the infamous slopes of the Col d’Aspin and the Tourmalet. Our Queen stage features two climbs that guarantee to light the torch paper as the peleton crosses. Make it epic with a climb of the Hautacam for a truly huge and painful day on the bike.

Day 5
Col du Soulour & Aubisque

These roads have witnessed some epic cycling battles and moments that made it into Cycling’s history book. (The most recent being that between Pojacar & Vingegaard in the 2022 Tour) Today is breathtakingly beautiful – enjoy the climb to the Solour, ride the Cirque du Litor road to the Aubisque and return. For riders wishing to leave it all on the road make it epic with an ascent of the Spandelles – a stunning little-known climb which made Tour de France headlines in 2022.

A comfortable e-road bike with a lightweight carbon frameset and a clean-cut design featuring fully integrated cable routing. The Garda Hybrid uses the proven and reliable Mahle X35+ drive unit with 250 Wh motor inserted in the rear hub while the battery is housed in the down tube. The groupset is Shimano 105 Di2. The Garda has an autonomy of 1,000-2,000m of elevation, or constant use 1.5-2hrs – it’s possible to rent a range extender to double the range for an additional fee.

What happens if I need to cancel the trip?
We have a flexible cancelation policy - please take a look at our cancellation policyat the time of booking. If you have any doubts please reach out and we're happy to help.

Is the tour the right level for me?
We rate our tours from Level 1 (Leisure) to Level 4 (Epic). Each tour contains a description of the level, expected daily ride time, distance and elevation. If you have any doubts we're more that happy to speak to you on the phone and help to find you the perfect trip!

What about bikes? Can I hire one or should I bring my own?
We recommend that you hire a bike for your tour and will work with you after you book to help you to choose the best size and model for your ride style. If you prefer to bring your bike, it's no problem. Please be aware that on some of our epic trips we charge a supplement to transport your bike box to our finishing location. If you have any doubts, please ask!

Is insurance included?
Insurance is not included in our tour packages. We highly recommend contracting travel insurance at the time of reservation with a company from where you are from.

Health insurance which covers you for illness or injury whilst cycling in your chosen destination is mandatory, we'll ask you for details of your insurance provider before you travel.
