Portugal Highlights

Silves Castle

Silves Castle

Silves Castle sits above the town of Silves in the Algarve, and is said to be one of the best-preserved medieval castle’s in the region. Like many fortified buildings in southern Europe, Silves Castle bears the scars of different cultural take-overs, such as both Christian and Islamic additions to the architecture during the 12th and 13th centuries. Any visitors to the town are encouraged to explore the narrow streets, and walk up to the castle to enjoy the panoramic views.

Cabo De São Vicente

Cabo De São Vicente

The Cabo de São Vicente is the western-most point in the Algarve. Although it’s not the western-most point of continental Europe, it has always been the last piece of land Portguese sailors see when once they’ve set sail for the open waters of the Atlantic. It is a popular spot among tourists and visitors, particularly in the evening, when you can watch the sun set over the ocean as a spectacle of pinks, oranges and purples fills the sky.

Iconic Gravel Riding

Portugal's coastline and interior are made for gravel. Ride dramatic clifftop roads, quiet inland tracks and open Atlantic landscapes on routes that suit every level, from leisurely spins to full-day adventures.

Scenic Road Cycling

From terraced vineyards to challenging inland climbs, Portugal has road riding to suit every level. Pristine roads, varied terrain and spectacular scenery make it one of Europe's most enjoyable places to ride.

A Year-Round Destination

Portugal is one of Europe's sunniest countries. Warm temperatures and reliable conditions make it a great place to ride in any season, whether you are planning a winter escape or a summer adventure.

Rich in Culture

Portugal has a history that stretches back centuries. Explore ancient castles, coastal fishing villages and vibrant cities, and finish each day with fresh seafood, local wine and the kind of hospitality the country is known for.
