Day 2
Hoi An to Quang Ngai

We leave Hoi An by bicycle and cross the Cua Dai Bridge, with sweeping views over the river mouth and the open South China Sea beyond. South of Hoi An, the landscape becomes much quieter, as we’ll pass through farming villages unaccustomed to foreign visitors. Following the Thu Bon River south, the landscape will transition from rice paddies and sand dunes to seaside fishing villages with their quiet, windswept beauty. Reaching the outskirts of Quang Ngai, we’ll reach our resort, perfectly integrated into its natural surroundings.

Day 3
Quang Ngai to Quy Nhon (Bai Xep)

Riding from our resort this morning, we’ll warm up with a flat section, then cross over a couple of small coastal passes, leaving us on a little-traveled seaside road that is a true delight. This fast section also gives plenty of scenic vistas and opportunities to see local life at farms and villages. Passing along large lagoons, we’ll see colourful wooden fishing boats being built by skilled craftspeople. Our ride ends near the small port city of Qui Nhon; we’ll take a short vehicle transfer to our stunning accommodations hidden in a tiny fishing hamlet, where you can enjoy a hearty dinner amid the crashing surf.

Day 5
Tuy Hoa to Nha Trang

Today’s ride features one of Vietnam’s most famous and beautiful stretches of coast on a  road carved into rugged, rocky hillsides that soar high above the crashing surf. A historic lighthouse and secluded towns make for memorable stops along the way. This is not a long ride, but the steep ascents will certainly stretch our legs. Descending to the village of Dai Lanh, we then transfer south to Nha Trang. Renowned as a resort city, Nha Trang is also famed for the brick towers of the Cham Hindu civilization that ruled the area until around 400 years ago. These centuries-old structures honouring various gods are still worshipped by the Cham today, and are well worth a visit from our nearby hotel

Enjoy views from the top, followed by a thrilling descent and long stretches of secluded roads that bring us into little-traveled inland territory. These valleys form microclimates with different vegetation and wildlife. After a long, gradual descent, we’ll cross a couple more passes on our way out to the coast. Tonight, we’ll stay in a modern, spacious resort on the outskirts of the town of Phan Rang.
