Two weeks. Two of Spains best cycling locations!
Start in Girona, Europe’s modern cycling capital. This is where pros base themselves for a reason. Over six days you’ll ride the climbs that define the region: Els Àngels, Rocacorba, Mare de Déu del Mont and the sweeping coastal roads of the Costa Brava. Expect long, steady ascents, technical descents and café stops in medieval villages. Evenings are spent together in Girona’s old town — sharing Catalan food, local wines and stories from the road. Based at Hotel Carlemany, a short walk from the Eat Sleep Cycle Hub, the week combines serious riding with a strong social rhythm.
Then shift south to Málaga for a second chapter that feels distinct yet equally rewarding. The landscape opens up into white villages, limestone gorges and rolling mountain passes. The Axarquía, El Chorro and the Montes de Málaga offer sustained climbing and quiet inland roads that reward consistency and teamwork. The riding is purposeful and demanding, but the atmosphere remains collaborative. Groups roll together, regroup at summits and finish each day stronger than they began.
Across both weeks, the experience is anchored by professional guides who manage pacing, support and logistics so the group moves as one. You’ll ride with like-minded cyclists who want to challenge themselves while enjoying the process — the shared coffees, the lunch stops, the end-of-day debriefs, the small victories on long climbs.
Girona brings world-renowned classics and a deeply embedded cycling culture. Málaga adds rugged Andalucía and expansive mountain terrain. Together they offer a broader understanding of Spanish road cycling — not just in geography, but in community, camaraderie and collective progression on the bike.
As your time in Girona draws to a close, lucky you that you’ve still got all the wonders of Malaga and Andalusia all ahead!

Your first consideration is whether you are bringing your own bike or renting in both locations.
If you are renting a bike:
Travel is simple — you can choose the fastest and most convenient option. You won’t need to transport any bike as we’ll have rental bikes available for you in both Girona and Málaga hubs.
If you are bringing your own bike:
We recommend the train from Barcelona to Malaga. Bikes are allowed on high-speed trains in Spain as long as they are disassembled (minimum of one wheel removed with handlebars turned) and inside a bag with maximum dimensions of 140 x 90 x 40cm.
Our recommendation:
We recommend the train as it is a direct service from Barcelona to Malaga. There are multiple services per day and the journey time is just over six hours.
Getting from Girona to Barcelona is also an easy journey – there are frequent high speed trains throughout the day that take 35 minutes and go straight to the main station in Barcelona for the onward connection to Malaga.
Alternatively we can also arrange a private transfer for you from Girona directly to the main station in Barcelona and/or from the main station in Málaga to your accommodation.
Meet your new guides at the Eat Sleep Cycle Málaga Hub in the afternoon. Get set up on your rental bike and ready to explore. We roll out for a warm-up spin along the coast before heading inland towards the Montes de Málaga. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner and get to know the group.
This full day of riding features some of everything Málaga has to offer: rolling coastal roads and twisting mountain passes above whitewashed villages. The views over the Mediterranean are spectacular as we climb away from the coast and descend through quiet inland roads.
Head north into the heart of Andalucía towards El Chorro, home to the Caminito del Rey. A stunning gorge carved through limestone cliffs, this ride offers sustained climbing and dramatic scenery throughout the day.
Today’s route heads east into the Axarquía region, a landscape of twisting mountain roads and traditional white villages. Expect quiet roads, steady climbs and sweeping descents as we explore one of the most scenic areas surrounding Málaga.
A final classic ride through the Montes de Málaga. The roads are smooth, the gradients steady and the views expansive across the coastline. We finish back in the city with time to relax and celebrate the week’s riding.
After breakfast, departure from Málaga. Transfers available if required.
