Algarve is a hidden gem of cycling in Europe. With over 300 days of sun a year it is a great place to escape the winter and enjoy some great cycling and golf at one of the best golf resorts in Portugal.
Stay in 4-star accommodation for 3 nights, and play at the Espiche Golf Course.
The cycling routes are a mix of gravel and road for beginner to intermediate cyclists, we can also adapt them to fit your cycling level.
Rated 1 out of 4 our Leisure tours are designed for active people who are looking to combine easy miles on the bike with rest and relaxation. E-bikes are available on all of our tours. Rides are up to 50 km with occasional small climbs.
On arrival at Faro Airport your Eat Sleep Cycle host will meet you and drive you to your accommodation at the fabulous Vila Luz Hotel located on the dramatic coastline of the western Algarve. After lunch we’ll get set up on the bikes and head our for a warm up ride. Your host will make sure you’re comfortable on the bike & navigating ahead of the next days of cycling.
Today’s ride takes you on the coast to two beautiful towns of Algarve, Lagos and Portimao. Stop on the waterfront and enjoy the ride back to your hotel. In the afternoon head to Flesia Winery for a wine tasting.
After breakfast at your hotel, enjoy the day at the Espiche Golf Club. At Espiche, every element of the golf course and infrastructure has been carefully considered to respect and enhance the unique elements of the natural environment. In the afternoon choose to relax at the hotel or ride out to the historic town of Sagres at the southern-most point of Algarve.

We’ll welcome you to the start of your tour, talk you through the week ahead and ensure you have everything you need to enjoy a great ride.
Guests receive a detailed digital Road Book, containing routes, route descriptions, details of hotels and our recommended places to stop along the way and enjoy in the evenings. Guests can choose to navigate from their own phone or GPS devices are available on request.
On a self-guided tour we provide a contact number for support during the trip and will help you out of any situation.
We recommend that guests are able to fix a puncture and perform basic roadside bike repairs to best enjoy a self-guided tour.

This lightweight carbon gravel e-bike is almost identical to the non e-bike version, with the adition of a 300 W power unit weighing only 3.9 Kg. The Adlar has an autonomy of 1,000-2,000m of elevation, or constant use 1.5-2hrs. A range extender is available to hire for double the range. The bike has a Shimano GRX 1 x groupset.
A comfortable e-road bike with a lightweight carbon frameset and a clean-cut design featuring fully integrated cable routing. The Garda Hybrid uses the proven and reliable Mahle X35+ drive unit with 250 Wh motor inserted in the rear hub while the battery is housed in the down tube. The groupset is Shimano 105 Di2. The Garda has an autonomy of 1,000-2,000m of elevation, or constant use 1.5-2hrs – it’s possible to rent a range extender to double the range for an additional fee.
The Rave is perfect for all-road, perfect for gravel and is desgined for speed. Enjoy a lightweight carbon frame with racey geometry and an electronic SRAM Rival XPLR groupset for full gear range and precision shifting.
During the past 10 years, Mario has lived in different countries, but now he’s back home in Conegliano to ride every steep hill in the area!
