Meet the group in Porto centre for a group transfer along the river to Ribodouro, where our journey begins. Enjoy a light lunch on arrival before getting set up on the bikes and heading out on a beautiful warm-up ride along the river valley.
Enjoy a magical loop up into the mountains. This is a ride of two halves – a long climb up to lunch and a long descent home!
It’s time to say farewell to Ribodouro and journey east along the river to Peso da Ragua. A shorter ride today means we’ll enjoy a relaxed lunch and wine tasting on arrival to our wine-hotel.
Continue again to ride east along the river to Pinhão and the heart of the Douro wine region. On arrival to the town we’ll climb north into the hills on a spectacular loop finishing back by the river in Pinhão.
For our last ride of the trip ride a loop to the south of the river, taking in a pretty loop to the village of Sao Joao de Pesqueria
Sadly, it’s time to say goodbye! A group transfer leaves for Porto at 10:00 AM.

The ride support vehicle is stocked with natural ride nutrition, electrolytes and water, as well as a full set of tools to resolve any mechanicals. A comfortable e-road bike with a lightweight carbon frameset and a clean-cut design featuring fully integrated cable routing. The Garda Hybrid uses the proven and reliable Mahle X35+ drive unit with 250 Wh motor inserted in the rear hub while the battery is housed in the down tube. The groupset is Shimano 105 Di2. The Garda has an autonomy of 1,000-2,000m of elevation, or constant use 1.5-2hrs – it’s possible to rent a range extender to double the range for an additional fee.

Raimon is a Catalan who made a new life for himself and his family on the Algarve. Raimon is a professional dog trainer and has a deep understanding of both animals & humans, something that makes him an excellent guide! Raimon can mostly be found exploring new gravel roads close to his home.
