Special offer! To help kick start your winter training, we’re offering free bike hire for this camp!
A week designed for road cyclists looking for a boost in fitness over the winter months. Take on 6 days of riding in the sunny city of Málaga. Train on the same roads that surround Tour de France winner Jonas Vingegaard’s new home and enjoy the company of like-minded riders. Enjoy the support of our professional guides throughout the week who’ll ensure everyone in the group is achieving their goals for the day.
The rides showcase the best of Málaga’s riding; be prepared to return a better climber than when you started after a week on the notoriously hilly terrain.
Enjoy one base for the week in a stylish city centre hotel located a short walk from the Eat Sleep Cycle Hub and Málaga city centre.
Rated 3 out of 4 our Advanced tours are designed for people who ride regularly and want back to back challenging days on the bike. Riders should be confident riding in a small group, comfortable on extended climbs (at your own pace) and have good bike handling skills on corners and descents. E-bikes are available on all of our tours.
Meet your guides at the Eat Sleep Cycle Málaga Hub at 12 noon. Get set up on your bikes and ready to enjoy our warm-up ride along the coast. We’ll ride out and back to the town of Rincon de la Victoria. In the evening get to know your guides and ride companions for the week with an evening meal in Málaga city centre.
Our first full day of riding features the best of everything Malaga has to offer, sparkling coastal routes and winding mountain roads beside mango and avocado farms. The views over the Montes de Malaga and out towards the coast at the summit will not disappoint!
Fuel up with a hearty breakfast at the hotel before riding west out of the city to ride El Chorro and see the Caminito del Rey, a walkway pinned against the steep walls of the narrow El Chorro gorge. We’ll enjoy another evening meal together tonight in the city.
Today’s ride is shorter, allowing time for a relaxing afternoon at the beach or exploring Málaga’s old town. Locally known as ‘La Reina’ (the queen) this is a classic 20 km climb starting from Málaga city centre. Climb up above the city on steady gradients. Regroup for coffee and bite to eat at the bar at the summit, then enjoy a twisty descent back to the coast. Ride back into the city of the flat coast road.
Today we ride north to the El Torcal de Antequera. This stunning natural park is home to milennia-old rock formations that used to form the seabed. It’s another day of climbing but El Torcal is worth every second plus the route home is mostly downhill!
For our final ride of the camp we’ll enjoy a fast and flat(ish) ride out along the coast to the village of Nerja. Enjoy lunch at the beach before returning back the way we came. Tonight we’ll share stories and celebrate a great week of riding with our final meal together at our favourite spot in Málaga.
On the seventh and final day of the tour, the time has come to say farewell. Enjoy a final breakfast at the hotel and a stroll around the city centre (if there is time!) before starting the journey home. And remember, the sun-kissed roads of Málaga are always just a plane-ride away!
