Riders should be confident riding in a small group, comfortable on extended climbs (at your own pace) and have good bike handling skills on corners and descents. E-bikes are available on all of our tours.

Day 1
Welcome to Marrakesh

This seven-day Atlas Mountain tour kicks off in Marrakesh with bike set-up and an optional walking tour around the city. Enjoy a welcome meal and get to know the group and the team while discussing the week ahead.

Day 2
Ait Ourir to Telouet

Riding begins on day two as the tour heads from Ait Ourir to Telouet, nearly 82 km south and into the Atlas Mountains. Meet farmers & shepherds in Tassourte, drink mint tea in the Zat valley, climb the Tizi n’Tichka Pass and visit the Kasbah du Pacha in Telouet.

Enjoy a hearty breakfast before the first ride. Lunch en route to the High Atlas Mountains and mint tea in the Zat Valley. Dinner included.

Day 3
Telouet to Boutazoulte

Today, the ride heads some 87 km further south from Telouet to Boutazoulte via Ait Benhaddou. Ride the old Spice Caravan road to the Onila valley. Enjoy lunch at the UNESCO world heritage site, Ait Benhaddou, and spend the night in the mountain town of Agouim.

Day 4
Boutazoult to Azgrouz

After a restful night’s sleep, a new day brings the chance to discover the volcanic Anti-Atlas (Low Atlas) region as the ride progresses from Boutazoult to Azgrouz via the Amsouzart valley. Stay with a local family in the valley and experience a taste of the Altas Mountains way of life.

Day 5
Azgrouz – Ijoukak – Imlil

The ride on day 5 starts with some steeper hills, before descending into the foothills of the mountains. Ride the Ijoukak valley into the heart of the High Atlas, take an old caravan route to Imlil.

Breakfast with the family, then lunch en-route. Enjoy an evening meal in Imlil.

Imlil to Marrakesh

The ride support vehicle is stocked with natural ride nutrition, electrolytes and water, as well as a full set of tools to resolve any mechanicals. On selected days the support crew will serve a delicious picnic lunch in a scenic location en route. Enjoy local foods chosen to keep you feeling energized and healthy.

Our first taste of rural Morocco! The Auberge Telouet is a typical guest house located on the trading route from the Sahara desert to Marrakech.

A basic hotel in Agouim – get a taste of rural life in the Atlas.

Berber family homes

Tonight is spent with the villagers of Tamnagalt in the High Atlas in what is a unique and humble homestay experience.

Riad Atlas

Stay in the Riad Atlas Imlil and enjoy create comforts after two nights off-grid in this traditional Berber guesthouse. Imlil is a climber’s village at the base of Mount Toubkal.

Laura is a guide, professional cycling coach and endurance cyclist who has completed some of the coolest ultradistance gravel events (which she absolutely loved!). Laura loves guiding as she really enjoys empowering people to ride their bikes and discover new places, help their cycling adventures come true, and share unforgettable moments together.

Josep

Josep is from a small city in Catalunya called Reus. He loves cycling and has a passion for sharing cycling experiences with others. He’s a guide for Eat Sleep Cycle all over Europe & leads our Morocco tours.

What happens if I need to cancel the trip?
We have a flexible cancelation policy - please take a look at our cancellation policyat the time of booking. If you have any doubts please reach out and we're happy to help.

Is the tour the right level for me?
We rate our tours from Level 1 (Leisure) to Level 4 (Epic). Each tour contains a description of the level, expected daily ride time, distance and elevation. If you have any doubts we're more that happy to speak to you on the phone and help to find you the perfect trip!

What about bikes? Can I hire one or should I bring my own?
We recommend that you hire a bike for your tour and will work with you after you book to help you to choose the best size and model for your ride style. If you prefer to bring your bike, it's no problem. Please be aware that on some of our epic trips we charge a supplement to transport your bike box to our finishing location. If you have any doubts, please ask!

Is insurance included?
Insurance is not included in our tour packages. We highly recommend contracting travel insurance at the time of reservation with a company from where you are from.

Health insurance which covers you for illness or injury whilst cycling in your chosen destination is mandatory, we'll ask you for details of your insurance provider before you travel.
