Arrival in Girona! Rendesvoux at 12 noon at Eat Sleep Cycle in Girona for a light lunch. There is an optional transfer from Barcelona centre at 10:00 am. We can arrange additional nights of accommodation in Girona for guests arriving the day before.
We’ll kick off with a classic Girona ride, the stunning loop over Els Àngels to the Empordà region, and back across the Gavarres via Santa Pelaia.
Enjoy a relaxed evening together in Girona where we’ll kick off the week in style at one of our favourite local restaurants.
All too soon it’s time to say Adeu to Girona and start our pilgramage west to Barcelona. Today’s ride takes us through stunning landscapes and involves two key climbs – the climb to Sant Hilari Sacalm and to Montseny. We stay the night in rural Catalunya. Relax in the hotel gardens, take a swim in the pool and enjoy an evening together under the stars.
The big day has arrived!! Its time to finish our ride through the mountains and drop down into Barcelona centre. After time to check-in and freshen up we’ll head to the port to see the Team Time Trial light up the city streets. Dine in style tonight at the Barcelona port.
Today we’ll test our legs on one of Barcelona’s iconic climbs, Montserrat. In the afternoon we’ll watch the dramatic stage finish of Stage 2 on Montjuic.
Today we’ll enjoy another classic Barcelona ride, the Matadepera Loop. We’ll combine the ride with lunch at a rual Catalan masia. We’ll also visit the town of Granollers to wave the Tour de France off as it leaves Barcelona.
We’ll celebrate the final day of our trip with a spectacular day in the Garraf hills. Soak up views of the mediterranean before we drop down to the finish line of our own Grand Tour, a secluded spot on the mediterranean where we’ll indulge in a lazy lunch and optional swim. Tonight will be a night to remember in Barcelona city with our very own podium party and awards night to celebrate an amazing week together.
Sadly it’s time to say farewell! Plan your onward travel from Barcelona centre. We can arrange transfers on request.

The ride support vehicle is stocked with natural ride nutrition, electrolytes and water, as well as a full set of tools to resolve any mechanicals. 					A comfortable e-road bike with a lightweight carbon frameset and a clean-cut design featuring fully integrated cable routing. The Garda Hybrid uses the proven and reliable Mahle X35+ drive unit with 250 Wh motor inserted in the rear hub while the battery is housed in the down tube. The groupset is Shimano 105 Di2. The Garda has an autonomy of 1,000-2,000m of elevation, or constant use 1.5-2hrs – it’s possible to rent a range extender to double the range for an additional fee.
 
						
					Josep is from a small city in Catalunya called Reus. He loves cycling and has a passion for sharing cycling experiences with others. He’s a guide for Eat Sleep Cycle all over Europe & leads our Morocco tours.
 
                    
                Gethyn is from Wales but has been living in Catalonia for 14 years, and having found a quiet spot in the forest not far from Girona, he has no intention of leaving. Gethyn’s been a part of the ESC team since the early days and loves the job. He rides road and gravel with friends and MTB with his dog.
