
Discover Slovenia by gravel! Begin in the picturesque capital of Ljubljana before cycling north to Velika planina – The largest shepherds’ settlement in Europe offerring jaw-dropping, panoramic views. Cycle through the Logar Valley, a beautiful region with alpine glacial valleys which flow into the Kamnik-Savinja Alps in the north of Slovenia. Recharge at the outdoor spa and enjoy the serenity of the alpine mountains. Climb into the Jezersko region of Slovenia and escape into a wide gravel path surrounded by alpine forest before arriving into the third largest village of Slovenia, Kranj. Stay in Lake Bohinj and end the tour in the European gem, Lake Bled. The tour is predominantly on wide, compact gravel roads and includes quiet, tarmac sections. The gravel is not technical, offerring more of an adventure rather than challenge.
The tour features our handpicked hotels in each destination, each offering excellent hospitality and culrinary expertise. The second night is at a chalet in the Velika Planina. This is a rustik stay offering unbeatable panaoramic views. The hotel in Logar Valley is remotely located with a soothing atmosphere and mountain views. In Kranj, the hotel has its own wine cellar and excellent cuisine. The last two hotels are beside Lake Bohinj and Lake Bled, each offerring something a little different with stunning views.
Dine out each evening at a mix of local restaurants and at your hotel on the more remote nights. The team will ensure you get to see and taste the best parts of each region. There will be selected stops for lunch en route on each ride day, ensuring a healthy, fresh and seasonal produce designed to keep you riding all week. Breakfast will be at each hotel every morning, to give riders the fuel they need.

Riders should be confident riding in a small group, comfortable on extended climbs (at your own pace) and have good bike handling skills on corners and descents. E-bikes are available on all of our tours.
The tour begins in the picturesque capital of Ljubljana. The team will ensure your warm welcome with a light lunch upon arrival before getting out on some local gravel paths. Tonight, enjoy a traditional evening meal in Ljubljana to fuel up for the week ahead.
Cycle north to Velika planina – The largest shepherds’ settlement in Europe. The route has a progressive incline as you ride into the Slavik mountains. Dinner tonight will be accompanied with fresh mountain air and incredible views.
Begin the day with a roll down the shepherds settlement. From here, three are a few undulating hills as you make a backwards C shape into the Logar Valley. The Logar Valley is a beautiful region with alpine glacial valleys which flow into the Kamnik-Savinja Alps in the north of Slovenia. Tonight, recharge at the outdoor spa while enjoying the serenity of the alpine mountains.
Today’s overall elevation is lighter than the former rides but this does not make the ride less challenging. Begin the day with a tarmc climb into Austria – a 9 km climb gaining 700 metres. There is a short and sweet descent before tackiling the second and more gentle climb into the Jezersko region of Slovenia. Take a coffee stop before escaping into a wide gravel path surrounded by alpine forest. Soon, you’ll arriving into the third largest village of Slovenia, Kranj.
Start the day with an easy roll out and into the Bela peč forest, known for its isolated farms. From here, the climbing begins. Expect mixed terrain as you ride into Lake Bohinj.
The final stage of this tour is to the European gem, Lake Bled. Begin the ride by riding into the depths of the Triglav National Park. From kilometre 64, take the left to follow the Triglav Bistrica, a stream flowing from the glacial Vrata Valley and taking you to the Pericnik Waterfall. After a recharge, head back towards the final destination. Wind down tonight with a lake view and celebratory drink.
