Our Classic Climbs of Màlaga Tour showcases the best of cycling from Màlaga city centre. Kick off the week with an ascent of the Puerto del Leon followed by an excellent tapas and wine tour & discover the hidden secrets of Málaga city. Cruise east along the Costa del Sol & climb up into the pretty white hilltop villages. Take on a big ride north & see the famous rock formations at El Torcal, ride across Puerto del Sol and let yourself be amazed by the stunning views accompanied with the perfect climate.
Stay in a 4* city centre hotel, enjoy lunch at local cyclists’ favourite bars & enjoy evenings at some of Málagas best restaurants.
This is a tour for cyclists seeking warm winter riding, smooth roads & the buzz of a vibrant beach-side city that never sleeps.
CYCLING ITINERARY
Day 1:
Arrival in Málaga
Warm-up ride, the Puerto del Leon, 45km, 1,000m
Enjoy a delicious wine & tapas tour this evening!
Day 2:
Transfer to Álora. Ride El Chorro 57 km, 1200 m
See the Caminito del Rey! Eat at one of Málaga’s best restaurants tonight!
Day 3:
Ride to Comares 98.5km 1,940m OR 59.3 km, 1,100 m
White villages in the mountains & watch traditional Flamenco tonight!
Day 4:
Ride up to the jaw-dropping El Torcal 98 km 2,278 m OR 69 km, 1,704 m
Natural Park of Antequera covered in limestone rocks
Day 5:
Beginning from Alfarnate, ride across Puerto del Sol 68.1 km 1,274 m

IS THIS TOUR FOR ME?
Our Classic Climbs of Málaga tour is designed for ‘Intermediate’ riders. Whilst some rides are challenging they are fully supported & our guides will look after you & help you pace the day. A support vehicle is never far away should you need to take a break.
For private groups we can easily customise loop rides to best suit the group.
Note that some rides begin with a transfer out of Málaga city. This is done to ensure the best quality and cycling experience.

The ride is fully-supported by an Eat Sleep Cycle staff crew, guiding you on the road and providing support in an Eat Sleep Cycle vehicle.

Màlaga has a fantastic food scene & we’ll share the best of it with you during the tour!
A breakfast buffet is included each morning at your hotel. During the ride we will keep you fuelled with our favourite ride food. For lunch we’ll stop at a local bar en route.
Evening meals are included in the tour at our favourite local restuarants, we’ll also find time to head to the beach for local speciality Espeto de Sardinas.

Arrive: Fly in to Malaga Airport. We can arrange transfers for you to the city centre. Journey time is aroudn 15 mins.
Depart: Fly out of Malaga Airport. We can arrange transfers for you.
Guests are responsible for booking their own flights and travel insurance.

Group Bookings
Groups of 8 or more riders: can opt to make a tour private and choose their own dates.

Deposit: a €500 deposit will secure your place on the tour.
2nd payment: 50% of the balance is due 6 months ahead of time
Balance: the outstanding balance is due 2 months in advance of the tour.
