This is a tour for cyclists seeking warm winter riding, smooth roads & the buzz of a vibrant beach-side city that never sleeps. Málaga is an incredible city from which to welcome in the New Year.
Alongside celebrations to remember, tick off all the best rides out of Málaga. Kick off the week with an ascent of the Puerto del Leon, cruise east along the Costa del Sol & climb up into the pretty white hilltop villages. See the famous rock formations at El Torcal, ride west & climb the steep slopes of the Puerto del Torre.
Stay in a 4* city centre hotel, enjoy lunch at local cyclists’ favourite bars & enjoy evenings at some of Málaga’s best restaurants.

Day 1:
Arrival in Málaga
Warm-up ride, the Puerto del Leon, 45km, 1,000m
Day 2:
The Costa del Sol & white villages, 98km, 1,600m
Day 3:
El Torcal, 98km, 1,700m
Day 4:
Puerto del Torre, 50km, 800m

El Chorro, 130km, 1,500m

IS THIS TOUR FOR ME?
Our New Year in Málaga tour is desgined for ‘Intermediate’ riders. Whilst some rides are challenging they are fully supported & our guides will look after you & help you pace the day. A support vehicle is never far away should you need to take a break.
For private groups we can easily customise loop rides to best suit the group.
Note that all rides start & finish in Málaga city centre, there are plenty of cycle lanes & traffic respects cyclists.

The ride is fully-supported by an Eat Sleep Cycle staff crew, guiding you on the road and providing support in an Eat Sleep Cycle vehicle.
Our support staff are experienced professionals from all walks of life united by a love of cycling. They’ll take care of everything; keeping you and your bike in tip top condition throughout the tour. All you have to do is Eat, Sleep, Cycle.

Màlaga has a fantastic food scene & we’ll share the best of it with you during the tour!
A breakfast buffet is included each morning at your hotel. During the ride we will keep you fuelled with our favourite ride food. For lunch we’ll stop at a local bar en route.
Evening meals are included in the tour at our favourite local restuarants, we’ll also find time to head to the beach for local speciality Espeto de Sardinas. On New Year’s Eve we’ll out for a night to remember & bring the new year in in style.

Travel Logistics
Arrive: Fly in to Malaga Airport. We can arrange transfers for you to the city centre. Journey time is aroudn 15 mins.
Depart: Fly out of Malaga Airport. We can arrange transfers for you.
Guests are responsible for booking their own flights and travel insurance.

Group Bookings
Groups of 8 or more riders: can opt to make a tour private and choose their own dates.

Payment
Deposit: a €500 deposit will secure your place on the tour.
2nd payment: 50% of the balance is due 6 months ahead of time
Balance: the outstanding balance is due 2 months in advance of the tour.
