The Eat Sleep Cycle Vuelta España tour is here! Combine watching the final Grand Tour of the year with incredible riding and warm, Spanish hospitality.
Week 1, 17th – 24th August
Start your Vuelta experience in Pamplona & soak up the action of a summit finish in Arrate in Stage 4 & a Stage 5 departure from the city centre. Enjoy classic rides in the region before packing up and riding south east to the Pyrenees over two spectacular point to point rides. Witness the much anticipated Stage 9 which finishes on the iconic Col du Tourmalet.
Week 2, 24th – 31st August
Watch Stage 10 depart from Vitoria-Gasteiz before heading south to the La Rioja region & city of Logroño. Watch Stage 11 roll out from the city before heading up Alto Moncalvido for an epic stage finish. Test your legs on the Lagos de Covadonga & Les Praeres (both stage finishes on previous Vuelta tours) before riding west to Oviedo. Finish with Stage 14 & the Lagos de Somiedo & Stage 15 & the soul-busting Angliru.

Arrival in Pamplona

Ride to watch Stage 4 finish as the Vuelta hits its first stage finish in Arrate
Pamplona to Arrate, 133 km & 2170 m
Transfer back to Pamplona
Day 3:
Watch Stage 5 depart from Pamplona
Loop ride to Erro, 69 km, 550 m
Day 4:
Loop ride to Puente de la Reina, 98 km, 1,500 m
Day 5:
Point to Point ride from Pamplona to Sabiñanigo, 142 km, 1820 m
Day 6:
Point to point ride from Biescas to Saint Savin, 107 km, 2600 m
Day 7:
Stage 9 finish on the Col du Tourmalet
Ride to the summit of the Tourmalet ahead of the race, ride up to 107 km, 2,300 m
Day 8:
Departures to Toulouse Airport or transfers to Pamplona for Week 2!

This is an itinerary desgined for intermediate riders who are up for a challenge! Guests are invited to take all climbs at their own pace, and the support vehicle will be near the group at all times. Guides will outline options to shorten the daily rides each day. Eat Sleep Cycle staff are experienced at supporting riders to achieve their goals whilst having a great time!

Day 4:
Morning transfer to Cangas de Onis (3 hours, 40 mins)
Afternoon ride to the Lagos de Covadonga, 51 km, 1,300 m
Day 5:
Point to point ride from Cangas de Onis to Oviedo, 122 km, 2,600 m
Option to add Les Praeres, 14 km, 600 m (incredibly steep!)
Day 6:
Stage 14 summit finish at the Lagos de Somiedo
Ride to the lakes, up to 81 km, 3,200 m
Transfers back to Oviedo
Day 7:
Stage 15 summit finish on El Angliru
Climb the Angliru ahead of the race, 58 km, 2,000 m

Full Support
Rides are fully supported by our team of guides and vehicles.
The ride support vehicle is stocked with natural ride nutrition, electrolytes and water. On longer days the team will serve a roadside lunch – a time efficient pit stop with the right balance of carbohydrates, protein, fruit & veg to keep you energized and feeling healthy all week.
Eat Sleep Cycle ride leaders are experienced riders from all walks of life united by a love of Cycling who’ll help to keep the group safe, motivated and savouring the trip of a lifetime. Our Tour Leaders know the region well and speak the local language.
Mechanical support will be close by at all times.

Travel Logistics
WEEK 1
Arrival: Meet at Pamplona train station at 12 noon on day 1 of the tour.
Departure: On the last day there is a group transfer to Toulouse Airport arriving at 12:30, perfect for flights out after 14:30. We’ll transfer guests taking part in Week 2 to Vitoria Gasteiz.
WEEK 2
Arrival: The meet point for the tour is Vitoria Gasteiz train station at 12 noon on day 1 of the tour.
Departure: On the last day there is a group transfer to Oviedo train station to arrive by 11:00.
