Rated 3 out of 4 our Advanced tours are designed for people who ride regularly and want back to back challenging days on the bike. Riders should be confident riding in a small group, comfortable on extended climbs (at your own pace) and have good bike handling skills on corners and descents. E-bikes are available on all of our tours.
Arrival in Faro, where our team transfers you west to the dramatically situated wind-swept edge of Europe: Sagres. After bike fitting and orientation, spin out on a warm-up ride toward Fortaleza de Sagres and out to the iconic, cliff-bound lighthouse at Cabo de São Vicente (Cape St. Vincent). Watch the sun sink below the Atlantic before settling into Pousada Sagres for your first evening.
Roll out directly from Sagres on an scenic loop exploring the raw, rugged terrain of Southwestern Alentejo and Vicentine Coast Natural Park. Your primary destination is Praia do Zabal, tucked away along quiet backroads and sea-sculpted plateau tracks. Enjoy sweeping coastal vistas and quiet, open stretches before returning to Sagres for another relaxed evening by the ocean.
Leave Sagres behind and turn northward along the Atlantic border. Today’s point-to-point ride carries you along cliffside paths and quiet asphalt tracks, dropping down to access the spectacular twin beaches of Cordoama and Castelejo. After taking in the massive dark-rock formations and crashing surf, continue norte into the valley of Aljezur to check into your retreat at Praia do Canal.
Trade the open ocean cliffs for shaded inland valley trails today. This circular route weaves through eucalyptus forests, quiet pine groves, and along the banks of the Aljezur riverbed. It’s a varied day with punchy inland climbs, fresh greenery, and peaceful rural roads before returning to your base at Praia do Canal.
Say goodbye to Aljezur as you tackle your final full day in the saddle, crossing the regional border into Alentejo. The route threads through rolling countryside, small agricultural hamlets, and coastal scrub before delivering you to Craveiral Farmhouse near São Teotónio—an eco-luxury sanctuary surrounded by pine forest. Celebrate the end of your journey with farm-to-table dining and local wine.

We work with an industry leading guide to guest ratio – expect up to 4 guests per guide on the trip with guides leading the way on the road and a support vehicle close by at all times. Note that for groups of 4 riders or less this tour is run as a guided trip without the support vehicle.
The ride support vehicle is stocked with natural ride nutrition, electrolytes and water, as well as a full set of tools to resolve any mechanicals. On selected days the support crew will serve a delicious picnic lunch in a scenic location en route. Enjoy local foods chosen to keep you feeling energized and healthy.

This lightweight carbon gravel e-bike is almost identical to the non e-bike version, with the adition of a 300 W power unit weighing only 3.9 Kg. The Adlar has an autonomy of 1,000m of elevation, or constant use 1.5-2hrs. A range extender is available to hire for double the range. The bike has a Shimano GRX 1 x groupset.
Raimon is a Catalan who made a new life for himself and his family on the Algarve. Raimon is a professional dog trainer and has a deep understanding of both animals & humans, something that makes him an excellent guide! Raimon can mostly be found exploring new gravel roads close to his home.
