With ideal riding conditions 365 days a year, majestic landscapes, challenging climbs, amazing food, and an endless network of gravel roads the Canary Islands are moving up the bucket-list for gravel lovers around the world.
Our 7 night tour splits the riding between Gran Canaria & Fuerteventura. Start the ride in the lush north of Gran Canaria in the local village of Agaete. From there we’ll transfer down to the south of the island for two epic rides. For the finale of the trip we’ll take a ferry to Fuerteventura to conclude this amazing tour of the Canary Islands.
Rides are designed for advanced gravel riders, a good fitness is required as well as strong bike skills to best enjoy the tour. Our local guides are experts at ensuring everyone is having a great time and enjoying the experience.
Rated 3 out of 4 our Advanced tours are designed for people who ride regularly and want back to back challenging days on the bike. Riders should be confident riding in a small group, comfortable on extended climbs (at your own pace) and have good bike handling skills on corners and descents. E-bikes are available on all of our tours.
Meet the team & you new ride companions for the week at our first hotel. Plan to arrive by 12pm. An airport shuttle is included from Las Palmas Airport, Gran Canaria
Today our ride heads along the coast before starting the long steady climb into the Tamadaba Natural Park. From the summit of the climb at 1200m the road undulates to Berrazales where the descent proper takes us down to our hotel
After a good breakfast, we’ll ride through the farmlands around Agaete. The roads are small and change from tarmac to gravel constantly. In the first half of the ride we’ll do the bulk of the climbing, the rest of the ride is rolling terrain along the coastline.
This morning we’ll transfer down to the southern side of the island. Once we’ve checked in at our hotel, our ride takes us directly inland where you’ll see the stunning contrast from the north to the south of Gran Canaria
Today we’ll tackle the highest peak of Gran Canaria, Pico de las Nieves. We’ll transfer part way up the climb to Agüimes. It’s a challenging climb but from the summit at 2000m you can see the whole archipelago.. The descent is amazing mix of flowing gravel trails down to our hotel.
This morning we’ll take the ferry across to Fuerteventura! Once we’ve arrived and settled at at the hotel we will head out on the bikes. This loop out to Cofete crosses the southern tip of the island, there are some tough short climbs and longer sections along the coast.
For our grand finale we will transfer to the town of Antigua in the centre of the Fuerteventura . From there we’ll ride along the spine of the island with spectacular views on either side. The final 20kms are rolling gravel roads back to our hotel.
Sadly, it’s time to say goodbye. Transfers are included to Fuerteventura Airport
