Summary

Discover some of the most beautiful corners of Malaga guided by the expert Eat Sleep Cycle team, enjoy local specialities such as espeto de sardinas, and soak up a taste of traditional Spanish culture. This region’s mild climate offers near-perfect riding conditions in winter, spring and autumn, so make sure to pack sun cream!

As soon as the bikes are set up on the first day, the tour will commence with a warm-up ride and climb on the outskirts of the city of Malaga, el Puerto del León. In the evening, discover the bustling city centre and some of the best local bodegas with a wine and tapas tour. On day 2, the tour starts with a transfer out of the city to delve further into the region and witness a local man-made wonder, the Caminito del Rey, a wooden walkway pinned to the face of the El Chorro Gorge! The ride offers spectacular views of this area and some more beautiful climbs. The ride on day 3 will head out directly from the hotel. After a hearty buffet, ride east along the coast, the sparkling Mediterranean Sea accompanying you along the flats, until you turn inland and begin the first steady climb. This near 100-km ride offers stunning views of the coastline from way up in the hills surrounding Malaga.

A natural marvel awaits on day 4 as, after a short transfer, the route winds through the countryside towards the natural park of El Torcal de Antequera, home to awe-inspiring, milennia-old rock formations. Then, on day 5, the final ride of the Classic Climbs of Malaga tour will start after a transfer to Alfarnate. The ride then snakes southbound through the Malaga hills towards the coast and back to the city.

Spend 5 days soaking up this beautiful coastal region of southern Spain by day, and exploring the lively streets of Malaga and the city’s best restaurants by night. Stay in the 4* NH Málaga hotel, just a few minutes from the old town and a 15-minute walk to the beach.
