Welcome to cycling paradise on the Mediterranean coast. Ride a stunning loop from the Catalan city of Girona to Tossa de Mar, Llafranc, Empuriabrava and Cadaqués. Each destination has it’s own special character and a unique beach to relax after each ride. Enjoy the evenings sampling delicous meals and views of the sea.

Sleep in a new location each night in one of our handpicked 3 or 4* hotels along the route, including the Hotel Carlemany in Girona, the Boutique Hotel Can Pico in L’Escala and Llane Petit in Cadaqués on the final night. Fuel up with breakfast at the hotel before each day of riding, a light lunch en route and a evening meal in a new, picture-postcard town each night.

This is a fully supported tour on quiet roads, designed for riders who love to enjoy cycling and relaxation in equal measure.

Day 1
Welcome to Girona!

Enjoy a warm welcome from the Eat Sleep Cycle team and lunch in Girona before heading out for a warm-up ride with the group. Dine at one of our favourite restaurants in Girona in the evening.

Day 2
From Girona to Tossa de Mar

The first leg of the tour kicks off with a 50 km ride south from Girona to Tossa de Mar on the coast. Head for lunch along the seafront and enjoy the evening exploring Tossa de Mar at your own pace. Don’t miss the town’s impressive castle!

Day 3
From Tossa de Mar to Llafranc

After fuelling up with a good breakfast at the hotel, ride north, hugging the rugged Costa Brava coastline to the village of Llafranc. Spend the afternoon and evening relaxing and exploring the town. Take a stroll along the Camí de Ronda and stretch your legs in preparation for tomorrow’s ride. Tonight is a free evening – take your pick of Llafranc’s casual seafood restaurants or book a table at the michelin star restaurant Casamar.

Day 4
From Llafranc to L'Escala

Day 4 brings a mix of coastal views and pretty roads as the route snakes inland through Torroella de Montgrí and towards the hotel in Montiró. In the afternoon take a stroll along the coast and visit the Roman Ruïnes d’Empuries. Enjoy an evening meal with the group tonight, included in the tour.

Day 5
Arrival in Cadaqués

The final stretch awaits today as the route snakes northwards through the pretty towns of Sant Pere Pescador and Castelló d’Empúries, before a scenic climb and descent to the seaside town of El Port de la Selva before crossing over the final hill to Cadaqués, considered by many to be the most beautiful town on the Costa Brava. Take some time in the afternoon to explore the winding streets and beachfront cafés. There will also be time to visit Salvador Dali´s house in Port Lligat (advance booking recommended) before a final evening meal with the team at our favourite restaurant in Cadaques.

Ride Support

FULL SUPPORT

Enjoy small group sizes and professional, personal support all week from your guides & support vehicle.

We work with an industry leading guide to guest ratio – expect up to 4 guests per guide on the trip with guides leading the way on the road and a support vehicle close by at all times. Note that for groups of 4 riders or less this tour is run as a guided trip without the support vehicle.

The ride support vehicle is stocked with natural ride nutrition, electrolytes and water, as well as a full set of tools to resolve any mechanicals. On selected days the support crew will serve a delicious picnic lunch in a scenic location en route. Enjoy local foods chosen to keep you feeling energized and healthy.

Eat Sleep Cycle guides are experienced riders from all walks of life united by a love of cycling who’ll help to keep the group safe, motivated and savouring the trip of a lifetime.

A comfortable e-road bike with a lightweight carbon frameset and a clean-cut design featuring fully integrated cable routing. The Garda Hybrid uses the proven and reliable Mahle X35+ drive unit with 250 Wh motor inserted in the rear hub while the battery is housed in the down tube. The groupset is Shimano 105 Di2. The Garda has an autonomy of 1,000-2,000m of elevation, or constant use 1.5-2hrs – it’s possible to rent a range extender to double the range for an additional fee.

Laura loves guiding as she really enjoys empowering people to ride their bikes and discover new places, help their cycling adventures come true, and share unforgettable moments together.

Josep is from a small city in Catalunya called Reus. He loves cycling and has a passion for sharing cycling experiences with others. He’s a guide for Eat Sleep Cycle all over Europe & leads our Morocco tours.

What happens if I need to cancel the trip?
We have a flexible cancelation policy - please take a look at our cancellation policyat the time of booking. If you have any doubts please reach out and we're happy to help.

Is the tour the right level for me?
We rate our tours from Level 1 (Leisure) to Level 4 (Epic). Each tour contains a description of the level, expected daily ride time, distance and elevation. If you have any doubts we're more that happy to speak to you on the phone and help to find you the perfect trip!

What about bikes? Can I hire one or should I bring my own?
We recommend that you hire a bike for your tour and will work with you after you book to help you to choose the best size and model for your ride style. If you prefer to bring your bike, it's no problem. Please be aware that on some of our epic trips we charge a supplement to transport your bike box to our finishing location. If you have any doubts, please ask!

Is insurance included?
Insurance is not included in our tour packages. We highly recommend contracting travel insurance at the time of reservation with a company from where you are from.

Health insurance which covers you for illness or injury whilst cycling in your chosen destination is mandatory, we'll ask you for details of your insurance provider before you travel.
