Traka is our home race and we’ve been on the startline since it’s inception. We’ve watched Traka grow from a couple of hundred entrants to become the event not to miss on the Girona cycling calendar. Now it’s your turn to come and experience the festival vibes and be part of an epic week of gravel riding – our package includes entry to your choice of the 100 km or 200 km race (entries are limited and allocated of a first come, first serve basis!)

Welcome to Girona!

Meet at Eat Sleep Cycle to enjoy a welcome lunch together with the group. Then it’s time to get set up on your bike and head out for an easy afternoon ride in the surrounding countryside.

The Gavarres Recon Ride

This morning we’ll ride into the Gavarres to check bikes & body are ready for climbing! Guides will be on hand to give tips on how to handle the terrain. In the evening we’ll head out to a nearby local restaurant.

Pre Race Spin for 200 Riders / Recon 2 for Traka 100 Riders

Enjoy a second recon ride, this time west of the city. Traka 200 riders can opt for a shorter ride to keep legs fresh for race day tomorrow. Enjoy a free afternoon and evening in Girona.

Traka 200 Race Day / Pre-race spin for Traka 100 Riders

Traka 200 riders face an early start and an epic day on the bike! We’ll be on hand to support your ride throughout the day and ready to celebrate you crossing the finish line! Traka 100 riders have a last chance for a relaxed ride to ensure they’re ready for race day tomorrow!

Traka 200 riders can enjoy a sleep in and a relaxed spin out into the countryside. Tonight we’ll enjoy a final meal together and share stories from the groad.

Wilier Adlar Hybrid Gravel E-Bike

Gravel Electric

This lightweight carbon gravel e-bike is almost identical to the non e-bike version, with the adition of a 300 W power unit weighing only 3.9 Kg. The Adlar has an autonomy of 1,000-2,000m of elevation, or constant use 1.5-2hrs. A range extender is available to hire for double the range. The bike has a Shimano GRX 1 x groupset.

The Rave is perfect for all-road, perfect for gravel and is desgined for speed. Enjoy a lightweight carbon frame with racey geometry and an electronic SRAM Rival XPLR groupset for full gear range and precision shifting.

Gethyn

Gethyn is from Wales but has been living in Catalonia for 14 years, and having found a quiet spot in the forest not far from Girona, he has no intention of leaving. Gethyn’s been a part of the ESC team since the early days and loves the job. He rides road and gravel with friends and MTB with his dog.

Laura

Laura is a guide, professional cycling coach and endurance cyclist who has completed some of the coolest ultradistance gravel events (which she absolutely loved!). Laura loves guiding as she really enjoys empowering people to ride their bikes and discover new places, help their cycling adventures come true, and share unforgettable moments together.

Josep

Josep is from a small city in Catalunya called Reus. He loves cycling and has a passion for sharing cycling experiences with others. He’s a guide for Eat Sleep Cycle all over Europe & leads our Morocco tours.

What happens if I need to cancel the trip?
We have a flexible cancelation policy - please take a look at our cancellation policyat the time of booking. If you have any doubts please reach out and we're happy to help.

Is the tour the right level for me?
We rate our tours from Level 1 (Leisure) to Level 4 (Epic). Each tour contains a description of the level, expected daily ride time, distance and elevation. If you have any doubts we're more that happy to speak to you on the phone and help to find you the perfect trip!

What about bikes? Can I hire one or should I bring my own?
We recommend that you hire a bike for your tour and will work with you after you book to help you to choose the best size and model for your ride style. If you prefer to bring your bike, it's no problem. Please be aware that on some of our epic trips we charge a supplement to transport your bike box to our finishing location. If you have any doubts, please ask!

Is insurance included?
Insurance is not included in our tour packages. We highly recommend contracting travel insurance at the time of reservation with a company from where you are from.

Health insurance which covers you for illness or injury whilst cycling in your chosen destination is mandatory, we'll ask you for details of your insurance provider before you travel.
