Mechanic, Full Time

Objectives

Repair and service customer and rental bikes to a high standard. Provide a high level of customer service to local and foreign customers. Use your knowledge to advise on bike components and accessories.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Must be a qualified bicycle mechanic.
  • Minimum 3 years experience working as a mechanic in a bike shop.
  • Knowledge of electronic gearing and high-end road, gravel and MTB.
  • Preferred languages are Catalan, Spanish and English.

Contract Details

  • 40hr full time contract including possible weekend working.
  • Role based in our Girona Hub & Girona Service Course with our core team.

Tasks & Responsibilities

You will work in our dynamic team to:

  • Build new road, gravel and MTB bikes.
  • Service our Girona rental fleet.
  • Build relationships with our customers and advise them with their cycling & equipment decisions.

Front of House, Full Time

Objectives

Ensure our customers have an amazing experience at Eat Sleep Cycle; welcome customers to the Hub, find out what we can do for them; maintain Hub product displays & merchandising. Hit monthly targets by selling bikes & products.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 1 year experience working in a bike shop.
  • Fluent in Catalan or Spanish and English. You will serve local and international customers.
  • A love and passion for cycling, aligned with Eat Sleep Cycle values.

Contract Details

  • 40hr full time contract including weekend working. Shifts mirror Hub opening hours, currently 9:00 – 14:00 and 16:00 to 19:00 though this can change throughout the year.
  • Role in our vibrant friendly Girona Hub, no requirement to travel.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Front line customer service; meet / greet customers, reply to customers on all our channels including emails, answering the phone and responding to WhatsApp and Online chat.
  • Sell bikes; ensure bikes on the shop floor have a price tag; build quotes for customers.
  • Sell cycling products; ensure the Hub is beautifully presented, offer customers advice & help.
  • Operate the point of sale system, open and close the shop each shift.
  • Stay up to date with new arrivals in store.
  • Update displays to showcase latest products.  
  • Build good relationships with customers.
  • Stay up to date with new product releases & launches; learn about new products & brands.

Finance Administration, Full Time

Objectives

Work with our dynamic team to extract and reconcile financial information, which is later used to complete the financial accounts and financial forecasts for the company. Extensions into office administration, legal and HR administration are possible.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Must have worked in an office environment for at least 2 years.
  • Some bookkeeping or accounting experience is essential.
  • Proficient use of spreadsheets and working with data.
  • Experience in financial software Xero beneficial
  • Fluent in Catalan or Spanish and English. 

Contract Details

  • 40hr full time contract Monday to Friday.
  • Possibility of full time contract depending on extensions of role.
  • Role based in our Service Course office in Girona.

Tasks & Responsibilities

Work closely with the Financial Controller to:

  • Oversee closing sales registers each evening.
  • Collect all sales information from various people & platforms.
  • Upload expenses from all sources.
  • Check supplier invoices for payment terms, tax rates and amounts.
  • Monthly download & adjustments from our platforms.
  • Reconcile the bank feed on Xero

Possible role extensions:

  • Import and export communication with courier companies.
  • Office administration. 
  • Town hall and government legislation.

Tour Logistics & Administration, Full Time

Objectives

Ensure our guests have an incredible experience from the moment they book a tour with us. Design beautiful tours perfectly adapted to our guests. Oversee the delivery of the tour, learn from what we can do better and start again!

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Some experience designing cycling tours is essential.
  • Route planning on one or more platforms.
  • Fluent in Catalan or Spanish and English. 
  • A love and passion for cycling. Aligned with Eat Sleep Cycle values.

Contract Details

  • 40hr full time contract including possible weekend working.
  • Role based in our Girona Service Course with our core team.
  • Travel may be required. 

Tasks & Responsibilities

You will work in our dynamic team to:

  • Respond to new inquiries and questions from guests about tours & take bookings.
  • Book hotels, guides and other activities/resources.
  • Creation of tour packs with all the necessary information; including detailed checks of gps. routes.
  • Select the delivery team and oversee a perfect delivery.
  • Collect feedback from the delivery team & guests to learn areas of improvement
  • Manage the administration of tour cancellations, rescheduling, refunds & vouchers.

Possible role extensions include:

  • Product design – input into the creation of new cycling tour itineraries
  • Tour recon – visiting hotels, meeting suppliers & checking routes
