On arrival in Girona your host will meet you and drive you to the medieval village of Peralada to begin your trip. After a welcome lunch we’ll get set up on the bikes, head out for a guided warm up ride and enjoy the small country roads around the hotel.
Today’s ride takes you out to the coast and the beautiful village of Sant Pere Pescador. Enjoy lunch at El Port Restaurant before heading back to the hotel. In the afternoon enjoy a wine tasting at the Perelada Winery. With a winemaking tradition of more than six centuries, Perelada produces wines with character and with presence and recognition in the five continents. The new winery is a new step towards excellence. Designed by RCR Architects, winners of the 2017 Pritzker Prize, it is the first in Europe with LEED Gold certification, the highest sustainability certification in the world.
After breakfast at your hotel, enjoy the day at the Peralada Golf Club. After lunch head back to hotel and if you’re up for it head out for an afternoon ride on a rolling loop through medieval towns of Empordà.
Sadly, it’s time to say goodbye! Transfers are included to Girona.

We’ll welcome you to the start of your tour, talk you through the days ahead and ensure you have everything you need to enjoy a great ride.
Guests receive a detailed digital Road Book, containing routes, route descriptions, details of hotels and our recommended places to stop along the way and enjoy in the evenings. Guests can choose to navigate from their own phone or GPS devices are available on request.
On a self-guided tour we provide a contact number for support during the trip and will help you out of any situation.
We recommend that guests are able to fix a puncture and perform basic roadside bike repairs to best enjoy a self-guided tour.

The Filante SLR is an extremely lightweight aerodynamic bicycle used by World Tour team Astana. Enjoy a Shimano Ultegra Di2 groupset and DT Swiss ERC 1400 wheelset.
